The laced up lovelies

As I said on my last post things have been verrrrry quiet on the clothes front at chez T'n'P. But I do have some exciting news to share, I've been short listed in the Blog awards Ireland Best Fashion Blog Category. I'm chuffed to say the least, and I'm up against some amazing blogs. Although I don't expect to win I'm just happy to have been recognised! So thanks for anyone who nominated me! X

The only thing I bought in August were these gorgeous lace up flats from New Look. They look far more expensive than they are at only £22.99, and I'm soooooo glad I managed to get my hands on them before they sold out. I usually dither too long and then decide I can't live without something as soon as its sold out. But I've learned my lesson from various other times, tan Zara heels I'm looking at you!! Sorry to rub it in if you're after a pair, but they are insanely comfortable.

I paired them with simple back trousers and a denim shirt today, as shoes like these work well with a blank canvas I think. The Next trousers are a recent purchase too. I'm ashamed to admit I didn't own a pair of black trousers other than coated or leather ones. These ones are great, they're labelled as Utility leggings on the website but they're a lot more structured than leggings, not quite jeans and not quite trousers, with a flattering high waist which always helps with all that bending down and rolling around the floor that comes with a baby and 3 year old. They also come in navy, and I think I'll probably get them as well, buy here.

But staying with the pointy flats theme, they're definitely a very popular shoe choice for me.They're comfy for everyday wear and the point makes them that little bit dressier, and they work especially well with skirts. They are definitely my go to shoe and I have an ever growing collection.

I bought these patent Faith brogues last month and I've had loads of wear out of them since. They dress up an outfit without being to OTT and of course they're child friendly too. I know I'll get great wear out of them when I head back to work, as I don't really do heels to work. I'm thinking they'll look very chic with cropped trousers and a shirt, or even with a jersey dress.

I get so much wear out of these New Look ones I bought a good few months back, which are still available, and now the weather is looking a lot more wintery the tights will probably be a regular feature again.

Next on my list is a pointed navy pair, so if anyone has seen them do let me know please, and if you're after the black lace up pair, good luck on your hunt!
